Top Prospects That MUST Get Moved This Winter
“Winter Meetings came and went. But there’s still a TON of moves to be made. Here are five (technically six) prospects that I believe should be moved this off-season.”

Winter Meetings came and went. Prospects were dealt for players like superstar outfielder Kyle Tucker, rising ace Garrett Crochet and a 2025 redemption lefty arm in Jesus Luzardo. But there’s still a TON of moves to be made. Here are five (technically six) prospects that I believe should be moved this off-season.
Here are our notes for each player:
Player, Team: Potential Score (2TB Overall Rank)
1. Spencer Jones, NYY: 75 (37th Overall)
2 The Bigs kryptonite here. A power bat who continually increases his swing-and-miss and K-rates. The Yankees can’t seem to develop much homegrown talent (although that’s changing with Volpe & Wells). Send him off in a package with Marcus Stroman to free up some cash so you can upgrade 2B/3B.
2. Luisangel Acuna, NYM: 74 (Graduated) or
Jett Williams, NYM: 73 (47th Overall)
Pitching, pitching, pitching. Sean Manea and Clay Holmes is not enough. You now have a 5-6 year window with Juan Soto. Go get a Mariners arm or Cease from the Padres.
3. Enrique Bradfield Jr., BAL: 74 (44th Overall)
Corbin Burnes is (likely) gone. My guess is the Giants close on him. Same issue as the Mets above. Trade this MLB ready, elite fielding centerfielder for a nice arm to add alongside Bradish and G-Rod.
4. Mick Abel, PHI: Not Ranked
Hey Philly, stop shopping Alec Bohm. Clearly your price tag is way too high. But want to add a nice outfielder like Luis Robert? Well you’re not giving up Andrew Painter, how about Abel?
5. Kevin McGonigle, DET: 72 (53rd Overall)
We called out Kevin’s performance mid-2024 (click Kevin’s name above). But the Tigers held onto Skubal for a reason. Build off that monumental 2nd half run and grab and MLB ready bat or arm to add to the pro roster.
