Top Prospects to Watch in the Arizona Fall League [UPDATE]
“I called out two players per team to watch prior to the start of the AFL season. Let’s check in how each is doing“
By Sal Corso: October 28th, 2025:
A month ago, I gave two players on each AFL team that you should keep an eye on this fall. Here’s an update on each player so far through the first several weeks of the season.
Glendale
Braden Montgomery, White Sox 📈📈📈
4-11 (1.066 OPS) 2B HR 3 R 3 SB
Braden is back after a late start to the season. And he’s doing exactly what we thought he would. Montgomery goes into 2026 as one of my favorite prospects in all of baseball.
Kendall George, Dodgers
Kendall was removed from the roster and is not participating in the AFL.
Mesa
Brailer Guerrero, Rays 📉📉📉
2-26 (.249 OPS) 16 K
Man, this kid is making it extremely difficult for me to stay bought in. After a disappointing 2025, his struggles have continued in the AFL. So far, he’s another example of a high value international prospect that can’t put it together when he comes over stateside.
Tommy White, Athletics 📈
8-36 (.657 OPS) 2 HR 12 RBI
Tommy got off to a slow start, but that’s taking a turn for the better. A two homer, seven RBI game might be just what he needs to get going.
Peoria
Alfredo Duno, Reds 📉
6-27 (.630 OPS) 10 K
A slow start for Duno. The biggest concern is the strikeouts, but the OBP always finds a way to stay in the high-.300s. Nothing to worry about, this is one of the fastest rising prospects in baseball.
Hendry Mendez, Twins 📈📈
6-20 (.891 OPS) 1 HR 3 RBI 2 K
Hendry is keeping up the momentum from a career-best 2025. A strong finish in the AFL and he might just start sneaking on the national radar.
Salt River
Jansel Luis, Dbacks 📈
14-55 (.642 OPS) 3 2B 7 RBI 7 SB
The young 3B is getting a ton of at-bats. He’s keeping the strikeouts down, but there’s not much power either. Just 3 XBH (all doubles) in the 14 games and 55 AB. Still, I like the overall line and let’s see if he can add a little power in the remaining games.
Charlie Condon, Rockies 📈📈📈
18-52 (.905 OPS) 1 HR 10 RBI
Condon really turned a corner once he got healthy earlier on in the year. After a strong finish to the 2025 MiLB season, he’s picking up right where he left off. Not many swing-and-misses and some nice power. I said the Rockies have a surprisingly-deep system, he’s the least of the surprises and will be a big piece of this franchise.
Scottsdale
Max Anderson, Tigers 📈📈📈
13-25 (1.740 OPS) 3 HR 8 RBI 11 R
Max would have been the MVP of the league so far if it wasn’t for a historical performance by Esmerlyn Valdez. Max is absolutely crushing the ball, where over half of his hits have gone for extra bases. He’s got more walks than outs and double the walks than strikeouts. Max is showing why Kevin McGonigle won’t be the only exciting, young prospect that will debut on opening day for the Tigers.
Ethan Petry, Nationals 📉📉
8-32 (.717 OPS) 8 R
There’s not much to be excited about from Ethan’s performance so far. The strikeouts have always been high, but no power is something new. Eight hits, all singles, and a dozen strikeouts in less than 50 PA. (Update: as I wrote this he just hit a moonshot home run)
Surpise
Josh Adamczewski, Brewers 📈📈📈
11-40 (1.083 OPS) 4 HR 13 RBI 7 R
Josh has been a power machine so far this season. He’s second in the league in home runs, 4th in RBI, and 8th in OPS. A Brewers team that consistently finds and develops talent may have another one who truly exlempifies both of those traits from the organization.
Dante Nori, Phillies 📈
4-12 (.762 OPS) 2 RBI
Nori was pulled from his 1st game with an injury, but he’s back and he’s showing off the typical Nori stat-line (and that’s a good thing). Look for Nori to keep the .300+ average and high contact rates throughout the rest of his healthy fall season.
